As a child, I remember going to small library right behind my house and signing out up to 10-15 books at a time. decided to write the prose based on the library as it was a place of comfort and wonder but as I grew up, it became out of my reach.

When I was 13-years-old, I attended the funeral of a friend's mother. I decided to write this prose from his perspective from things I heard from others, sentiments he told me and the devastation I saw as he said goodbye for the last time.
